First, don't trust anyone asking for isk to send it back. That is just bad business. In the real world where we have these things called "laws" and "prison" these kinds of things still happen. The developers have stated "scam all you want, just don't say offensive or racist language and do not link pornography as it is illegal where the servers are based" so there is no such penalty for doing so. You get isk by not falling for "give me your money and I will send you two moneys!"
You get money by playing. Ambush is generally the best way to get ISK as the games are short and the base pay is about 200k. A domination game that might be 3 times as long might give out more if you blow up a bunch of vehicles and stuff but spamming Ambush is still the best way. Run cheaper fits. Basic Assault with a Basic Weapon and complex modules runs about 14k. Don't die more than 14 times and you will make money.
In truth, I have always found that just playing the game is the best way without worrying about money. If you have 2,000,000 isk and play as you have wanted to play and after 80 games you have 2,000,032 ISK, you are doing it the way I think is best. Since there is no, zip, nada, zilch economy in this game other than what you buy from the NPC market ANY amount of ISK that is sustainable or even grows ridiculously slowly is sufficient. I have worried about money for too long. I thought "ohh, I only have 10 million I need to save." So I kept running my 14k basic suits. "I only have 20." It went on this until I got to 50 million ISK.
At that time, I had about 33 million SP and was Prototype Assault, Scout, Tanks, and ADS but I was still worried about money. So I figured "what the hell?" and started using my Prototype Scouts. The suit runs me about 114k. If I die just twice in a domination, I break even. After doing this and expecting that I would lose money, I have gained about 3 million in the played time of "I am going to do what I want to do" so even my Prototype gear is isk positive. Make no mistake, I am not a great player. I am a decent Tanker and a mediocre to passable Infantry player. But all it comes down to is:
My suit costs X. I expect to die Y times (be very conservative. If you think you die 4, call it 5). In a match, I get Z money (conservative again). X should be < Z / Y. If it is, you will have all the money you will ever need really.
